Thoughts on this "hidden" PSU? Plus what's the most reliable budget PSU?

As the title says.

The low price, 5 star reviews and "Industrial Grade Protection" really caught my eye here.

As for the 2nd question, I have bought a CX 600 on new egg, but I saw that it wasn't favored by the community here (Even with the ~4.5 * over 3000 reviews rating on Amazon), so what's a reliable, good value PSU? I'll post specs soon: Typing this on a kindle fire is annoying.

Edit: My build: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/vc4
BTW, the 30 day return/refund is soon coming to an end in a few days, so this is somewhat urgent.

Raidmax= garbage

The first CX models suffered from longevity issues mainly due to poor internal components and the most common failure I see with them is shutting down under load which is usually cause by failing secondary capacitors or the OTP turning it off. As for the rating I usually don't put much faith in reviews on newegg or amazon as they are usually done in the short amount of time and most of the CX failures I have seen and had are with units around a year old. The newer CX 450m, 550m and 650m do seem to be decent units though.

Some good budget PSUs Are the 550w XFX, 520w Seasonic S12II or M12II, and the Corsair CX550M.

As cheap as possible. The highest I would go is $100. I plan to get a core i5 6500 instead of my current i3 6100, I plan to play the upcoming Titanfall 2. I have a total of $1000 for my gaming budget (which includes the PC and its games). With the i5, what is the lowest wattage I could get? Looking back, I may not need 600, unless there's some hidden pro to it.

Will 520W be enough? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151094&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC-_-pla-_-Power+Supplies-_-N82E16817151094&gclid=CLTOoLKipM8CFQkIaQodrGUP9g&gclsrc=aw.ds

If not, these Seasonics should give you more to choose from: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100006519%2050001697%2040000058%20600479295&IsNodeId=1&Manufactory=1697&bop=And&SpeTabStoreType=1&Order=PRICE&PageSize=36

Maybe 430-500 watts would be preferred, if they are both cheaper and just as reliable. If not, if this is the best pick, I would probably get it. Know of any discounts/codes to lower the price?

Those PSUs you have mentioned have caught my interest before. I may as well get one. The cx550M does look appealing to me.

The codes only work when verified against one's email addy.

I don't know why you want to go so small. 450W is the bare minimum for that system. If you were intending on paying $80+ for a cheap PSU, why would you balk at $60 for a top of the line PSU?

520W will give you some necessary headroom. And be stronger than the Raidmax 600W. It isn't all about total wattage.

There is no Seasonic G1, the Seasonic units are the GS series. The NEXG and the G1 units are both FSP made. I don't really care how much warranty they slapped on them those capxon caps are a deal breaker, while not fire starting system killers there are simply better units available.

Capxon is a brand. There are certain Capxons that are superior to Chemi-Cons. You're right though they're all FSP I was thinking the 1000G was Seasonic for some reason. But really there's nothing that shows the brand of Capxon to be bad at all. Jun Fu, AsiaX, definitely. But Capxon, Teapo, all very trustworthy just like the Japanese makers.
