Been trying to troubleshoot a friend's pc for a few weeks now. The pc is randomly restarting for what seems to be no apparent reason. We've reinstalled Windows, installed a new power supply, and changed his RAM. So far, no change.. The pc will restart no matter what he's doing. Could be sitting at the desktop doing nothing, watching a video, or playing a game. Any help is appreciated!

His Specs..
CPU: i7 4790k
Mobo: MSI Gaming 7
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 980 G1 Gaming
RAM: G.Skill Trident 16GB (2x8GB sticks)
Power Supply: EVGA Supernova 650 (Was Corsair CX 750m)
Case: NZXT Phantom Full
CPU cooler: Corsiar H100i
Boot drive: Kingston V300 SSDnow 240GB

Temps are awesome. Haven't updated BIOS but can't see why that would be the issue. The PC had been running on the same BIOS version without issue for over a year.

No overlocking done to any of the components. It's 2400mhz I believe. I traded out his RAM with mine and his PC was still restarting though.
