I just upgraded my PC, which has been going just fine for about a year now with a new SSD. I DCed my HDD, plugged in the SSD, and installed windows 10 on it. Then I shut down, and connected the HDD back up. Now, when it boots it gives me the connect pcie power cables message. All cables are firmly plugged in, and nothing was unplugged.

What gives?

Does the card have an 8-pin header? If so, do you have it fed with a 6+2 pin cable? Or just a 6-pin?
I'm sure you checked to see if the PCIe connectr was firmly plugged into the card. But if you have modular PSU, be sure it is also still firmly plugged into the PSU too.
