Hey guys,
I'm really confused right now, which PC and specally which CPU is best for a video editing PC with the possibility for a little gaming. Looked on the benchmark the i7 6800k seems best for me, but I often read about 5820k for video editing and so I wonder, if you can help me.

Greetings ;)

Thanks guys! So if I see this right, the 6700k seems a nice choice for the budget.

The problem I have is, that the rendering time isn'T so important for me, but that's always what they show. For me it's more about, that I don't want to have lagg while cutting. I also need to handle around three video tracks at the same time.

Think 64gb is the max with 6700k's but 32 should be plenty. So they can all work in tandem rather than having big overheads, spread it out over four high latency RAM chips on XMP either way. You can easily add more RAM afterwards if you find you need it. A solid state drive might be useful for the write/read speed too but that only applies to seriously large files.
