Would upgrading my ram to faster than 2133 on my z97-a offer a better solution than upgrading my total system ?

CLock speed might help a little, but more DRAM would be better, I'd look for a set of 32GB - Trident X, RipJaws X or the like in 2133/9 2400 or so
