My computer loses connection to wifi at same time every night says it all every night at 2.40 am my pc loses connection and it is starting to realy annoy me as i can have fairly important thing interrupted.

Not a bug, but a feature. Your router changes IP address automatically every 24 hours. Whenever that happens, your internet connection gets interrupted. This happens for most home users since they do not use a static IP address (which costs a lot, BTW).

Solution: turn your router off and then on again at the time when you don't mind having your internet interrupted. It will start changing IP at exactly the same time every day, starting from that moment.

If you need your net connection uninterrupted 24/7 and that is a crucial thing to you - you can call your ISP provider and ask for a static IP address. See how much they ask for that.

Most likely your DHCP renewing. You can check your DHCP renewal by opening a command (cmd.exe) and typing
ipconifg /all | find "Lease"
That will tell you if it is just the normal DHCP renewal. It is also possible that your modem (which also has a DHCP lease) is renewing it's lease.

I did that and it came up with
Lease Obtained. . . . . . . . . . : 14 September 2016 15:59:22
Lease Expires . . . . . . . . . . : 24 September 2016 09:26:23
Lease Obtained. . . . . . . . . . : 23 September 2016 09:26:23
Lease Expires . . . . . . . . . . : 23 September 2017 09:26:20

But this has been happening for a few weeks every night at same times so I feel like there is something else happening here

OK, so not a host DHCP renewal. Still could be the router resetting the WAN DHCP. You will have to check the router admin page to see if you can determine that. I would also watch the router at the time you know this is going to happen to see if the lights on the router will provide any hints.
Next thing to check is your windows task scheduler. See if there is anything scheduled for that time.

I use google dns could that be the problem

My best shot is for you to pick a time that suits you to be offline for a minute before 02:40 and disconnect from the router.

That gives you another clear 24 hours by manually taking out a new lease. I've never come across this before so I don't know why it's happening.

One of my machines is folding 24/7/365 and hasn't disconnect in two years.

If you look at the lease times he posted, it isn't a DHCP lease thing. His lease was granted at 15:59:22 and expires at 09:26:23 10 days later. Even taking the 1/2 lease duration renewal into account. That doesn't explain it. I have no obvious explanation. if he says there is nothing in the scheduler.

Is this a wired or wireless connection to the router?
