connect my windows 10 pc to sony bravia tv w32705c

hi does anyone know how I can get my pc and tv to connect via hdmi as when I plug the cable in the pc detects it but tv wont display anything just a blank screen.

the tv system is updated to latest software but everything I tried to do hasn't worked.

When you say the TV shows you a blank screen, do you mean the background of Windows or just no display at all? Does it show dual displays in your video options? Do you have the correct input selected on the TV?

my dad sorted it out all done wouldn't tell m what he did to make it work lol
