Before i invest i wanted some opinions if its worth getting one are the 4k blu rays showing much difference compared to standard 1080p disks if so what tv size you running on.

Solution
Well you probably won't see that much difference, although for a larger TV if you sit close and compare things side by side, you'll see it. And if you want an xbox one anyway, it's more than just a disk player.
If you don't have a 4K TV, not worth getting a 4K media player. And if you do have a 4K TV then you may as well get a 4K media player or you basically wasted money on the TV. If you don't have either, it really won't be that huge of a difference. It looks better, but it's not as amazing looking as going from standard TV to HD. Not really worth the money to upgrade if you already have an HD setup.

thanks for the reply i have a 4k tv but it doesn't have HDR would you still recommend i get a xbox/4k media player will i notice the difference without HDR

Don't know about HDR, but if you have a 4k TV why not get a 4k player? What's the point of a 4k TV if you just use 1080 files with it?

I originally bought it for 4k pc gaming i just didn't want to spend 250 quid on a 4k blu ray player and since i lack HDR not see much improvement over standard 1080p blu rays.
