right I need your help guys! literially pulling my hair out.

right, first off, pc specs

5280k, x99 gaming 7 msi mobo, Samsung evo SSD, gtx1080 16gb ddr4, 850w evga gold psu. h80i water-cooled killer ethernet. cat7 cable from pc to router.

issue, p2p games! over the last few months I've had a massive issue with peer to peer based connections in video games such as dark souls and call of duty.

basically, I get massive massive lag and desync issues, failure to connect to games, kicked from games, random disconnects.

but, on games with dedicated servers I probably have the best ping ever! most battlefield 4 servers even in far sides of Europe I always have a sub 50ms ping, and sub 5ms to UK based servers.

even when using p2p based games with people that live in the UK, with both of us having low pings and good speeds, I get desync issues and disconnects.

example such as, dark souls 3, I cannot hit other players, I appear heavily laggy to everyone that can see my character, this lasts for about 3-5 minutes before I 'sync up' and can interact normally.

things I've tried
fresh windows 10 install
reinstalled and updated all drivers
updated bios
removed my anti virus (norton)
checked upnp is ON for open nat type in router settings (sky hub)
reset router to factory settings
checked pings to various servers
checked for packet loss/jitter

now I'm at my wits end! it's an isolated issue other people aren't really having with the game, it's definately NOT laggy connections as I said I've tested with people that live locally, and they've tested with people I've had issues with and it works fine for them.

So... it may be your killer ethernet thing.

You can google up how to convert it back to a regular ethernet adapter as mentioned at the bottom of that article.
