Hello all,
I am starting to upgrade my current gaming rig. Going to do a new Mobo, CPU, and GPU all in one shot here. I want this new version of my rig to be set for the next 3-5 years easily. I will eventually run two GTX 1080 in SLI next year but for now its one single 1080.
What is the best processor I should get with this intention? Right now I have an i5-3570k which is doing fine, but I can't see it being able to support BF1 in 1440P with the 1080 here coming up soon. Not that it will perform poorly but maybe not up to 100%.
I'm thinking i7... so what model and what Mobo would you recommend?
I will also be running 16g of DDR3. Thought I would switch to DDR4 but saw the CAS latency went up and figured it wasn't worth it.
