Hey, I have been having some trouble with playing games from my HDD. The first load is incredibly long. To the point of sometimes in multiplayer games it disconnects me. My computer specs are:
i7 4790k
16gb pc3-10700 corsair
gtx 970
ssd (windows install)
hdd (for games)
It doesn't feel like playing a game from the SSD has the same issue. I know HDD's are slower than SSD's but I mean its so bad that if me and a friend play overwatch, and his computers older than mine, with an HDD join the same game, he'll get in in about 15 seconds and i'll time out for inactivity after a minute or so and the game still wouldn't have loaded. I was thinking of doing a reformat thinking something may be wrong with windows, but maybe its just my harddrive that is faulty. Is there ways to test it? Could it be ram? Should I do a memtest? Any help is appreciated!
EDIT: Forgot to mention after the first load its good for awhile, usually until the game patches or something.
