I have a gtx 960 upgrading to 1060 I am thinking of upgrading to a 1440p montior. Can gtx 1060 run games at 30-35 fps with my i5 4590 for 2 years I want Max setting but not 60fps I can play comfortable at 30-35 fps I have played crysis 3 before at 35 fps and its smooth for me. So can I upgrade to a 1440p montior can't upgrade to 1070 as it's too costly.

That card will get you the FPS you want, but whats really the point of nice graphics if you don't have the refresh rate to match it? Just my opinion, so back to topic.
Yes, the 1060 is a good card, but the RX480 is better. Heres why: Out performes in newer stuff, so if you plan to have it for a whicle, you may even see you FPS increase (on newer games, of course, not the older ones). The 48- also has Xfire, and the 1060 does not do SLI.
