Can the Phenom X4 9550 still game?

Hi, I've found a PC on Gumtree (Australian version of Craigslist)
For $70 AUD (Around $50 USD) with An AMD Phenom X4 9550, 4GB RAM and a 320GB HDD. My question is can that processor run most modern games? (GTA V, BF4, Dying Light). I'm probably going to be pairing it with a GT 640 I found for $30 AUD ($20 USD).

Your definetely not going to be able to play those game at all with an x4 9550 and a GT 640. Those games wont even run at lowest settings at 720p. Maybe they might run at 1024x768 resolution.
