The Windows update from 2 days ago completely reset my NVIDIA control panel settings, and now that I have to reset all the controls, I kinda forget what I put before, so I might as well as get to know what all the options in "manage 3d settings" do.
Most of these settings such as AA, anisotropic filtering, ambient occlusion, are already available in most games. So what do these settings do in Nvidia control panel? If I turn them on or off, do they overwrite the game options?
Is there a comprehensive guide that explains all the options, things like texture filtering, shader cache etc, whether to keep them on or not, or some of the options in between.
