you can search the webs for the machine number/type, better than opening the back and void your warranty if any.

Go to the manufacturer website. Look up the laptop by serial or service number if possible or model if not. Should give you a definitive answer, but there are some models that have optional cpus, so service/serial numbers are preferable.
