Hard Drive Issue

I recently bought a new mobo and case, so I switched all of my things over to it. My hard drive keeps disappearing randomly, and the only way to fix it is to wiggle the SATA cords a bit. What do you guys think the issue is? I switched the cord to a different port so that's not it. Could it be the cord itself?

Hi there Miley_Rellish,

Yeah, it could be the cable. This certainly sounds like a connection issue. I believe it will not hurt to use both different SATA and power cables.

Another thing you can do is to update your MOBO's drivers.

I believe you've reinstalled your OS once you've replaced the MOBO right?
