So I want to buy a RX 480 the 8gb version but I saw the crossfire is waaay better. So my question is how exactly does this work? Do you buy the card and activate it somewhere or do you buy some special thing for having the crossfire??
And if you activate it do I keep it ON forever? Without affecting system or something or do I have to re-enable or disable each time I boot the PC on?
Would appreciate if you explain it well and detailed cause I'm a total noob in this crossfire thing :D Thanks.

1. I'd get a gtx 1070 over crossfire 480s any day, crossfire is a pain in the ass and you won't see THAT much of a performance increase in most games.

3. There is no special thing for crossfire, you just enable it in the catalyst software.

4. Once it's on it will stay on until you turn it off.

I would highly recommend getting a single card if you can, having 2 cards seems fun but it's just so much easier to have 1 good one. Two cards will generate a lot more heat and you're gonna have one if not both cards throttling most likely in addition to some games just straight up scaling terribly with 2 cards.
