I have this Veriton5800 with 2G RAM in four 512M. One slot or stick just died.

I think to put two 2G sticks in and only use two slots.

Can I do that? With a max of 4G on 4 slots it looks to me like they're thinking of 1G per slot.

And there's low and high density on offer. Which is the one I need?

.

Yes, with 4 slots available at your disposal, you're going to need 4x1GB kit/identical sticks of ram to populate all your slots to achieve a maximum of 4GB. You can find more info in Crucial's memory adviser tool.

Go for Low density, 4x1GB rams. You can find them on Amazons but it'd be good if you can pass on a budget and a site off which you'd like to purchase off of.
