My computer usually works fine for a while and then it shows a red screen for a second then it shows the above mentioned error. The only way i can get it to work again is by disconnecting and reconnecting the HDD manually.

It sounds like your HDD might be starting to fail. The HDD is occasionally having I/O issues with the boot sector...bad. Recommend you immediately backup all data on that drive, then get a new drive to install OS onto.

You can download and run a disk check utility like CrystalDiskInfo to look at error rates and reallocated sector counts. You can google more on these categories to understand what they mean...but again your symptoms scream "backup now!"

I recently had this issue. My SSD is my boot drive and every now and then, it would start up like that. I later had to rebuild it due to moving and found my HDD stopped working. After a little work, I found the issue was the power cable from the PSU.

So before going out and buying yourself a new HDD, just try using a different power cable and if that works, then you'll have no issues. I would suggest also making sure to back up your data as soon as possible in case it is the HDD.
