Hi all,
thanx for reading this thread

I've recently bought a new RAM (Hynix 2GB DDR2 pc2 6400u 666 12) so as to upgrade my memory from 2gb to 4gb .
My existing RAM is "Dynet 2GB DDR2 pc2 6400u 555".

After installling my new module along with existing one, pc restatrs and displays lauch startup repair boot screen after medium to heavy processor work .

what could be the problem??
Is it because of incompatibility of both modules together.... or any corrupted files.
if it is compatibility issue which one sholud I buy.

PC specs:
Intel core 2 duo
DG31PR

thanx in advance

Solution
Most likely the issue is due to (partial) incompatibility between the two individual memory modules. When using two memory modules it is usually advisable to get two modules from the same (dual channel) kit as the modules are guaranteed to be compatible with each other.

Clear CMOS.

If still have issues, you could try raising the DRAM voltage in BIOS by 0.05 V and see if that helps.

If still have issues, could try some other modules (trial and error procedure) until a compatible combination is found.
