PC crashing when playing games

Basically a few weeks ago I upgraded to a 970 from a 750ti but whenever I try to play games my computer crashes after about an hour or two. Since then I've tried updating my drivers as well as uninstalling and reinstalling them. I've reset my bios and I've tried putting the 750ti back in but nothing's fixed it. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have a spare PSU with less watts so I'll switch out my GPU and the new PSU as soon as possible

I played a video game again to see if anything distinct happened and this time I got an error that said 'Unexpected store exception'. So maybe it's a hard drive problem

I put in my old PSU and GPU and everything was working fine. I'll look into getting a new 500W PSU later on in the week
