Hello.

My computer has said HDD failure for 3 HDD (one refurbished, two new). I am pretty sure it is nit the HDD, but the SATA cable is pretty old. Could the cable be the one causing the "bad sectors" problem (error code 0007 and code 0225 on WD LifeGuard program)? Thanks.

Could be a bad cable, disconnecting randomly while the drive it attempting to write. Corrupting sectors as it does this.
Unlikely to be 3 bad drives in a row.
