Hi,

I am a first time PC builder, I have just put together all the components and am having issues installing Windows. I downloaded Windows 10 from Microsoft and created a bootable USB using Unetbootin. I managed to change the boot order so the USB was first but I get stuck at "Verifying DMI Pool Data...".

Sometimes it says "...Success" but still just waits there. Reading on the forums people recommended that the CMOS is reset, so I removed the battery as per instructions but now the USB ports don't work so I can't even make changes.

Please can anyone help with either issue. I have checked and rechecked all cable connections but now I am really stuck.

Thanks in advance! Specs below...

M/B - Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3
CPU - AMD FX6300
RAM - 8GB Corsair Balistix
HDD - Western Digital WD3200AAJS 320GB
Power - Corsair CX430

*Ok, I have fixed the USB issue, oddly my resetting the CMOS again. So I can edit the BIOS now, but still getting the "Verifying DMI Pool Data..." issue.

Go into BIOS and make sure USB is enabled. Your motherboard book should tell you exactly how to do it.

Thanks, USB is enabled, I can see the USB drives that contain the bootable windows files.

I have now tried Installing Ubuntu, but with the same issue. My Windows USB now says "Boot Disk Error, Insert Disk and Press Enter".

I have tried disconnecting the internal HDD as well with no difference.

Any help really appreciated
