I am familiar with the differences between DVI-D and DVI-I. Only DVI-I can convert to VGA as it has the four pins that carry the analog signal needed for VGA. I have one HDMI monitor (LG 24MP56) that works perfectly, the GTX780 performs quite well. I have a DVI-I to VGA adapter. Double checked that it does in fact have the four pins as required. I know for certain that the monitors work as I currently have one connected to the integrated graphics of the motherboard, directly to a VGA output. I have tested the other. Both are in working order. When the DVI-I to VGA adapter is connected to the GTX780 (ensuring it is the DVI-I connection and not the DVI-D), there is no signal to the VGA sourced monitor, it continues to search for a source.

Any help, suggestions, or even questions requesting further information are welcome and will be responded to as soon as possible. Thanks.
