Some of the dimm slots on my x99 godlike gaming carbon motherboard seem to be disfunctional. I am trying to run a quad channel ram setup but i get debug error 55 when i install the last piece or ram.

After this happened i decided to put the ram on a dimm slot that would not support quad channel set up, according to the manufacturer.

My PC report that i am running a triple channel set up with 64gb of ram.

I have 4 x 16gb setup. Tritan Z ddr4 ram 64gb kit.

I know that all of the sticks work, so it must be the dimm slot.

NOW TO THE REAL PART. i am considering RMA-ing the board but installed a monoblock onto the board, which means that the chip set and the VRM dont have the air cooler that were originally installed on them. I also sprayed "NANOProtech liquid insulator" on the motherboard to prevent water damage when water cooling.

Here is MSI warranty info:

Solution
Try making sure you have the latest BIOS, then ensure all sticks are firmly seated in the slots - what is the DRAM and the CPU (model #s) might need a voltage adjustment or two for 64GB

I assume you still have the chipset & VRM cooling that came with the motherboard? If so, reattach those before RMA'ing.

I've never heard of NANOProtech, but if they find any trace of that, don't be surprised if an RMA is denied due to the use of it.

Were the 4x16GB purchased as a 'kit' in a single package? If not, you may just have a case of RAM not 'playing nice' with unmatched DIMMs.
