I am looking for a new soundcard for my windows 10 PC that is capable of the following features:
- Has toslink optical output with 5.1 dolby digital encoding
- Can convert stereo output to quad
- Can be configured to rotate channels: For example: FL channel to FR speaker, FR channel to RR speaker, etc...

Do you guys know any hardware with these features? I haven't found anything by Googling

You're asking for a sound card that has software based virtual surround upmixing from a stereo source. That is practically every sound card out there placed under the gaming tag line. Since you didn't state a budget, you can look into the Asus Strix Soar sound card. The TOSLINK output however will only be available on a select number of cards and won't cost you cheap.

Mind sharing your full system's specs inclusive of your OS? Driver support will play a critical factor in your audio output.

Hello there!

Thanks for the answer! My specs are:
Windows 10, Asus B85-Pro Gamer, Core i5 4690k, 8Gb single module DDR3, Asus Strix AMD r9 380 (altough I'm thinking about to switch to NVidia's 10xx series).
I aggree that the the upmixing and the toslink output is pretty basic, most of the cards are capable of it. The main question is that is there any card out there that comes with a software that allows me to rotate/swtich up audio channels as written above?
