I recently bought a property upstate with a total of 2 acres. There is a main house where the modem and Asus Router RT-AC3200 sit but it is at one corner end of a rectangular shaped property. The range is phenomenal, but the signal strength degrades to about 45% half way through the property. My friend gave me an unused Tp-Link 24db gain outdoor antenna for 2.4ghz frequency which helps reach across the entire property. I was doing research on Access Points and was wondering if it would be easier and cost efficient to purchase another RT-AC3200 and run it in AP mode to hopefully be able to boost coverage an estimated 45% for the 3 bands ...or to invest in a few seperate APs such as indoor/outdoor Ubiquiti models.

Please help with any suggestions. I would prefer to maintain price conscious and refrain from tedious manual networking configurations if possible. Thank you.

It will likely be cheaper to buy AP. You would want to run cables to the any other buildings. If your goal is to cover outside you will need to use outdoor ap. Still you will likely need to run wires to some location because it will be hard to cover that much area with a single AP. You could I suppose try a number of directional outdoor facing in different directions from a central location but it does not always work because of the small antenna on the remote devices.
