i5 or i7

i want to buy a new gaming machine without any upgrades for several years, but i dont know which i use i5 or i7 ??

Buy and i5 and i7 will make 1-2FPS difference max in only a handful of games.

Buy an i7 4ghz quad-core o higher for future proofing. I recommend the 6700k model

This simply isn't true, but I don't see a lot of need for an i7 (yet) unless you're shooting for 120hz/144hz gaming.

I agree, it isn't true, but as newer games start to take advantage of hyperthreading, the i7 will become better, and the i5 outdated. i7's aren't much more than similar spec i5s, and are (probably) worth it. They i5 is good for a while, but they want to future proof, so an i7 is the better option.

The money you save by getting an i5 can go towards a better GPU, which is far more important when it comes to gaming.
