Hi guys,
I'm trying to connect 4 monitors to my GPU and i'm having some troubles.
my gear:
2 x DELL 24" (one connected with DVI and the second with DP)
1 x Samsung 27" ->the new monitor
1 x LG 60" TV (Connected with HDMI)

the TV is connected via Harman Kardon Amp. with Hdmi (which means PC->Amp->TV).

for the samsung monitor i bought a DP-DVI cable (for the reason i only left 2 DP available on my GPU)

and here is the problem:
windows won't let me active the 4th monitor, no matter which one i choose or any combination.
it only let me run 3 monitors at the time.

specs:
I7-6700
GigaByte Radeon R9 390 8GB
Gigabyte Z170-Gaming 5
HyperX FURY 16GB RAM

Can anyone figure out the problem?
Thanks guys :)

On the AMD eyefinity page:

1. The first two monitors can connect to the graphics card with any display output on your product: HDMI, VGA, DVI or DisplayPort.
2. The third (or greater) display must be connected to the graphics card via DisplayPort.
3. If your monitor does not have a DisplayPort connection, you will need an inexpensive active DisplayPort adapter for it.
4. Every family of GPUs supports a different maximum number of displays.

Sounds like you're hung up on #3, because the DP-DVI cable is not an active DP adapter. If you can run the 2nd dell monitor on a DP to DP cable i'd do that.

Hi,
Thanks for your answer,
Maybe i wasn't clear enought on how i connect the monitors (or i didn't get your solution :) )
Either way here is the connection map, more detailed, where left side is my PC and right side is the destination monitor

DVI----->DVI (Dell monitor)
DP------>DVI (Dell monitor)
HDMI-->HDMI (Harman Kardon Amp) which goes eventually to the LG TV
***until here it all working great!***
DP----->DVI (Samsung monitor) ----> causing the whole problem

Well... thank you very much friend!
I guess this was answer my question and I have no other way than but this active display port adapter...
any recommendations for the adapter brand from you experience?

Thanks again man! this was very helpful

Nope :/ I always just use native displayport so i can get 60hz at 4k. It doesn't have any moving parts though, I can't imagine there's that much of a difference in quality between brands; I'd just buy the cheapest one from a brand you recognize.
