Hey guys, firstly, thank you for taking the time to read this/help me if you so choose to.
Preface: I am thinking about upgrading my graphics card for better performance/more gaming options, but this has led to me having a few questions.

Also, current setup is:

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor
MOBO: Asus M5A97 R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport XT 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
GFX: MSI Radeon R7 260X 2GB Video Card
PSU: XFX 550W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

My upgrade thoughts: I was thinking of sticking with AMD originally, and the card I was thinking of was RX 480.
However, after reading many reviews/benchmarks/watching game-play videos (and you get the idea), it seems like most folks suggest not to bother with the 8gb version, sticking with the 4. So I am curious about any of you guys thoughts on that.

I also found that most folks say the GTX 1060 outperforms the 480 in most/a lot of things, so I am considering this card also, but as with most comparisons, opinions are very mixed, so any advice on this would also be greatly appreciated. (Currently finding myself more likely to go 1060 route because of reviews etc)

I apologise if my next thoughts are all rather poorly ordered, but it's just things I'm considering/curious about:

I) Would my current setup even handle either of these cards without bottlenecks/issues? For E.g:

Ib) is my processor likely to be sufficient? I feel like its still perfectly fine but I don't hardware compare so it could be likely to suck more than I perceive if I get the new card.
1c) Is my MOBO going to be able to handle one/either of these cards?
1d) what about my PSU, sufficient?

II) I am considering getting another 8gig of RAM. Is there any point in say..getting 16gig of new/better/higher spec RAM, or is it all 6/half a dozen really, and I may as well get another 8 gig (I.e. 2x4) of what I already have.

III) I am also intending on getting a new case, as my current one has next-to-no access to the frontal fan(s) and it's a nightmare to clean etc because of the poor design. Can you recommend a few good ones for me to consider? If they come with fans already, that'd also be a plus.

I think I've covered my main thoughts, if there's any sort of issue(s)/consideration(s) that scream out at you as a 'Wow, you've overlooked X/Y/Z', just let me know.

As a P.s. I don't overclock and really don't have any interest in doing any overclocking, I know next to nothing about it and I am fine running hardware as it is. I also aim to utilise as many components from my current setup as possible, as this is not a whole new build, just primarily curious about graphics card upgrade options and any issues therein.

Again, I thank you for your time if you read all that! I tried to space it out for easier reading, hopefully that helped :p

Cheers guys
