PC Freezes since I got a 1080

About 2 months ago I bought a GTX 1080. Since then every now and then my PC randomly freezes, the freezes are not consistent... like at all. Sometimes I play for 6 hours straight no problems, other times I am on for 45 minutes and it freezes. Here are my specs; PSU is a Corsair CX750M

I replaced a GTX 780, and I am actually on a fresh install of Windows. The latest drivers are installed.

Oh shit, my bad I looked at the wrong thing. The bios is out of date by a year but when I try to update it (booting from usb) it goes straight to windows.....
