Good gaming computer with fps lags

Hello
All of a sudden my computer started to have huge fps lags from like 200-300 to like 20-80 fps (depends on what game). It doesnt matter if I change ingame settings, the fps is still low.
My pc specs are following:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790K CPU @ 4.00 GHz 8 cores
16 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960
Windows 10

Note that im not very knowledgeable when it comes to computers but just tell me if i need to write down more specs or something. Thanks in advance

Honestly there is no reason the games should be running that slowly on a machine like that. I would suspect it could be a virus or that your cache files are building up. Has your computer as a whole been running slow?

Can you give me some more information on what games you are playing and also as far as components go, what kind of drives, where your games are located, and what Power Supply Unit you currently have?

I usually play games like rust (25 fps), rocket league (40 fps) and csgo (50-90 fps)

I have one HDD 1,81 TB
But my games are located in my SSD (232 GB)
