Hi all a mate has seen my build and asked me if i could build him a pc what do you all recomend with a £500 budget for the tower

Hes not fussed if its amd or intel he isnt a hardcore gamer just plays when he has spare time he plays the likes of sims, battlefield and some other games

We are in the uk so if we can source the parts from here that would be a good start

He was going to buy one from pc world for just over £500 and the specs were sh*t for the money.

Cheers Ash.

Forgot to say he doesnt plan on overclocking.

The above builds looks great, I'd do something similar to that.

Here's a similar build with a few tweaks to improve it:

Pros vs the above build
Gets you a B150 motherboard meaning the GPU will run at x8 instead of x4, better quality SSD and a much better GPU.

Cons vs the above build
The EVGA PSU is better quality and has more room for upgrades
Would probably run slightly quieter due to the more efficient PSU and aftermarket CPU cooler.
EDIT: The other build has faster memory too however this won't really make an difference in games.

im looking into the lists above now i might have to mix and match from the lists above some of the bits above i think i can get a little bit cheaper from the likes of ebay

What is the stronger/better graphics card the 1060 or rx470

I will show my mate the lists above tomorrow and see what he thinks either way its going to be much better than buying a pre-built system.

Thanks Guys ..Ash

The GTX 1060 is much more powerful than the RX 470.

I have came up with this apart from a few items that were not in the lists and i will just list them below.

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/3GDdbj

GFX Card: Gainward Gtx 1060 3GB £185 scan computers
Computers/PALIT Gtx 1060 3GB £189 scan computers

PSU:Antec VP450P 450W £38 scan computers

Pc case:im going to let my friend choose his own case

What would be the better card out of the two listed above
