I am in the process of updating my gaming PC that I built back in 2013. Here are my current specs:
AMD FX-8350
AMD R9750 3GB
16GB DDR3 (basic ram)
I want to move over to an Intel CPU because they work much better with open world games such as Arma 3 and Squad. Looking at many different cpu comparisons the i5 6600k stands out as a good bang for my buck cpu but I am stuck at what motherboard to go with, I don't know if it is best to get DDR4 or keep my DDR3 ram (I am working on a student budget), if anyone could give me some suggestions on what motherboard to get for a skylake cpu that supports ddr3 ram.
