my new r9 390 causes my pc to lock up. This happens after an two or three hours. I have tried with a different card and that worked. I have used ddu. I have tried using msi afterburner to turn down the clock but nothing happens. The computer is unresponsive ctrl alt del doesnt work the caps light doesnt come on. There is a sound loop then it turns to buzzing. I have tried to rma the card but they said it was fine.

specs
msi r9 390
i5 3470
2 hdds ( cant remember what make)
msi h61m p31 g3
gs 700 corsair
8 gb of hyperx ram

Check for a newer BIOS and chipset driver for the motherboard, test the card in another system yourself and see how it runs there. Past that, try a different good quality power supply. Maybe try a different PCIe slot on the motherboard. Try a new Windows setup.

I have tried everything on that list but checking another system. The problem still persists. Im starting to think it is something to do with the motherboard. Edit: It only crashes under heavy load
