Hello!!

I am building a computer with the following specs:

Processor: Core i7 6700
Motherboard: Asus z170m plus
Memory: 32gb Kingston Hyperx Fury 2133Mhz
Video card: Asus geforce gtx 1070 Founders Edition
Storage: 2 SSD units Kingston 480gb
Case with 5 fans

I would like to buy a tier one power supply. So, what power supply do you recommend me? I prefer Seasonic and EVGA Supernova models because, from what I understood, they are high quality power supplies.

Thanks very much.

this will be enough:

this is a bit overkill:

why would you want to buy founders edition ? there are way better models for much less money.

regarding the motherboard, that would be way better choice:

And of course, are you sure you need 32GB of ram ? A faster 16GB would be both cheaper and somewhat better.

Basically to work and play some games. I need a great quantity of ram and a powerfull processor. Maybe 2 SSds units are exageratted.

Yeah wouldn't go with a FE 1070

The suggested RMx is a fine unit
With EVGA a supernova G2 or the better P2 are the go it's right now.
If you really want a Seasonic, go for a XFX XTR since XFX uses better fan controllers than Seasonic making the units less audible

So, EVGA SuperNOVA G2 650W is a very high quality power supply?, For my specs, what is the minimum power I should expect from a power supply to work fine without being overloaded?

I disagree with the RMx being better. The differences are minor, RMx does slightly better with ripple but uses a worse fan and has a higher variance if I recall correctly.
Honestly when it comes to those two the difference are insignificant.
But I'd.probably prefer the RMi over the G2.

That would be the Tom's review:
"To wrap things up, the RM650x is an excellent PSU featuring great performance and quiet operation, along with reliability backed by a 10-year warranty. Naturally it earns our editor's recommendation, even though EVGA's 650 P2 offers even higher performance at roughly the same price. But compared to EVGA's 650 G2 using 230V input and our older test methodology, the RM650x offers higher performance."

The regular RM series is not very good. The RMx and RMi series are new an improved and appear to be really good. The jury is still out on how they perform long term though and I would much rather have an EVGA GS or G2 since they're proven to be very reliable.

Well in terms of noise RMx is quieter, though. RMx uses rifle bearing, G2 uses double ball.

The normal RM series is fine. I can't seem anything to dislike about it. It's just overpriced, that's all. You say the GS is proven to be reliable, but there's nothing that shows the RM to be unreliable.

But which is the best? evga supernova p2/g2 or corsair rmx? evga also offers 10 years waranty on p2 model and 7years on g2.

And I am no sure if the only difference between p2 and g2 is only the eficiency.
