Hello,
I have been using windows 10 since its release, I love it and find it amazing.
but today for the first time in my life I got a crazy freeze problem.
The laptop freezes at all.
whole screen freeze without any motion.
plugging/unplugging the mouse doesn't affect.
no sounds, no keyboard response, no effect when DVD open/close.
no ctrl+alt+delete.
hard disk led doesn't blink.
no power button command.
nothing can I do unless switching power off.

I am scared, and there's an idea in my mind that the my hard disk could be dying.
so i tried HD Tune, but couldn't understand or estimate the health of my HD.

does my disk have a good health?
thanks.

your hard drive is showing signs of going bad.

01 raw read error rate---bad
07 seek error rate----bad
c3 hardware ecc recovered--bad

these values are a lot higher then just a small issue would be. the hard drive is having a hard time reading from the disk platers and a lot of data it is reading it is having to use the Error Correcting Codes. to generate all the data to send to the motherboard.

the drive is showing 11k hours which is just a sign the hard drive is getting old. I would replace that hard drive when you can.

Hi there Wisamx,

Unfortunately, your HDD could be failing.
I would agree with maxwellmelon. The SMART data doesn't look really good.

The first thing you should really do is to back up the data stored on the drive. After that, you can use some software tool that can measure your laptop's temps. In case they are high, you can clean the dust out of it, and re-test the drive. This airflow temp indicator, could be associated with overheating.

Let us know how this goes,
