Hey, I'm experiencing heavy glitching and screen freezing, which lead me to suspect that my graphic card is nearing it's end.

I need a similar or better graphic card and it needs to fit these 4yo specs, as I'm not planning to upgrade anything else.

My current system:
Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3
Intel Core i7 2700K 4x3, 50Ghz LGA1155
Asus gtx 570 directcu ii
DDR3-1600 Kingston 8gb hyperX
PSU RaidMax RX-850W 80+ Gold
Windows 10

Can you recommend anything?

Solution
That would be absolutely fine. Your i7 2700k still has some life in it and it would be worth pairing it with a solid, current midrange GPU.

that 570 was fairly decent, so for a good upgrade you want either a

rx 480 or gtx 1060

if budget is an issue then a new equivalent to that 570 would be a gtx 950 or a rx 460

Hey, thanks for recommendations. My biggest concern is that newer graphics cards require PCI express 3.0, whereas my motherboard can only handle 2.0

Also what about HDMI 1.0 and 2.0. Possible issues?

PCIe 3.0 cards with work with PCIe 2.0 motherboards. PCIe 2.0 x16 will have the same bandwidth as PCIe 3.0 x8, which is little to no difference gaming.
