How do people play music through their mic?

In world of tanks, people play music through their microphone and I don't know how? Someone said use an aux cord but I don't know what to do with the aux cord? I've plugged it into the microphone jack and tried playing music through my mic but it didn't work.

Edit: I have just found out that the supposed "aux cable" that was given to me from a friend turns out to be a mini jack cable. Sorry. But I would still love to know how to play music/sound through my mic. (I have a Razer Kraken)

Then you did something wrong, out of curiosity I tested it in Division with friends and it works, but really don't do it don't be a douche.

I went into my Recording Device and made Line In my default recording device. I went into world of tanks and did the same. Am I using the wrong aux cord? There's a bunch out there. I think I have a 3.5mm aux cord.
