i recently updated my 64 bit version of windows 10, ever since i did my display has been outputting 1024x768 and i cant seem to change that. i decided to look it up and it says that my display driver isn't up to date, so i go onto geforce experience and update it, then, after i had updated it, i looked in my device manager and there was a little yellow triangle next to my 'geforce gtx 950' and when i click it it says " Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" i dont know if this is causing the problem, and when i open geforce experience it says i haven't updated my driver. how do i fix this?

Solution
I've seen weird issues related to drivers.

I suggest using THIS tool first.
http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

1. Download the latest NVidia driver (but do not install)
2. run DDU
3. right-click desktop-> display settings-> advanced (change resolution to native resolution)

That should now be working off the BASIC Windows drivers.

4. Install NVidia drivers you previously downloaded but choose "custom", "clean" install path.
5. test

I had issues, and when I used DDU it fixed them. I installed NVidia drivers, but for some odd reason when I went into Microsoft Updates it was downloading NVidia drivers again. It updated and SCREWED UP again.

I repeated the process and this time it...
Hi Riku,

The first thing you should try is completely uninstalling all of your graphics drivers and then reinstalling them while having the User Account Control disabled.

If that fails to work you should look at re-imaging windows onto your PC.

What version of windows are you running?

when i tried this my monitor went back to being 1080p until i tried installing the nvidia driver, then when i put clean install the resolution went back to being stuck! should i try it again? the error came back after i installed it...

*edit* i tried it again and the same thing happened... i have been at this all day, maybe if i tried installing an older driver, perhaps the last version...

*edit* i cant find an older driver

This is the same issue I'm having. Did you ever get around to fixing it?
