Budget Server Build

My budget is less than 500$ USD.

What I want is a small server that will handle mostly simple tasks, such as adding an element to a database, updating it, sorting the elements and picking one based on criteria and so on. The server would be accessed from less then 5 computers at once.

Some criteria is that I would like the build to be in server chassis, later put into a server rack, and it needs to support at least one ssd and one hdd, with some good airflow(2+ fans).

I'm quite lost when it comes to components for a build like this, and would love some help!
Thanks in advance!

Yes they are desktop parts, but will be fine for running 24/7 for a few years, with server grade stuff you just get some of the server grade features such as SAS and ECC memory, but that comes at a tall price. IF that cpu is too much for you then save a little cash and go for something like this below, or you could use a 6300 for a middle of the line system between the two.

This seems to fit a general use server on the cheap: I chose a non k cpu, because you probably don't plan to really overclock this i would assume, but did throw in a aftermarket cooler to keep things quiet, but if you want to save $30, then you can just roll with the stock cooler. I chose a 4u case, which is oversized in height a little for these parts, but will allow you to install a larger cpu heatsink in the future, as well as drop in a video card, which I am assuming you dont need now. Also this case wasnt anymore expensive than smaller cases.

A 2u case seems to be good and can fit a slim cpu cooler. Also, all those parts are desktop ones, would they be fine with running 24-7? And the cpu is overkill for the tasks the server will perform.
