I'm 14 and looking to build my first PC. I have a fairly tight budget, $200-$300 would be fantastic. I realize I'm not going to get anything amazing in this price range but I just need something I can do (most to least important) gaming, programming, and schoolwork on. I have a laptop but it can't even get 20FPS on Batllefront II from 2005. Partlists from pcpartpicker and hardware suggestions are much appreciated

Is that the budget for just the PC itself, or does a Windows license, monitor, peripherals have to be included?

Because if it's the latter, then unfortunately, it's pretty much an impossible build for the budget.

If it's the former, then this is about as good as you can get within the budget:

CPU: AMD A6-6400K 3.9GHz Dual-Core Processor ($49.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-F2A68HM-H Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard ($45.00 @ NCIX US)
Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2133 Memory ($67.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($45.88 @ NCIX US)...

Although even then, it's still much recommended for you to add ~$50 to the top budget so that you can have a build that will both provide much better performance and still have a future upgrade path:
