Hello, I currently run system on ASUS h97 plus with 4690 non k with recently bough arctic liquid cooler 120. I also have z97 board that was replaced under warranty by msi but for the waiting time i got new h97 plus cheaply to use my pc.

I can sell my current CPU for 200usd where I live and used 4770k is 70usd more.
I can also upgrade to 4690k for about 25usd.
The new 4790k is 380usd :(

Since I do some gaming primarily and raw editing/conversion second i could use some extra threads however raw 4 core high clock speeds are also important if not more.

What I would appreciate is what is better for buck considering OC.

I'd get the 4770k, it's a bit more but the extra clock speeds by themselves (overclocking) aren't really worth upgrading from a 4690 to a k series. You can still overclock the 4770k with a z series board.
