How to hange MAX Ram.

If you have an x86 or 32bit OS, your maximum ram is 4gb.

If you're trying to change your systems max ram, and you have a x64 or 64bit OS, Follow these steps:

***************************************

* Open the "Run" box.
" In the run box, type: "MS config".
* Then click "OK"
* A box will open on your screen.
* Click on the "Boot" tab.
* Click on the "Advanced options" button.
* Remove check mark from max Ram box. (Near the top right corner of the window).
* Save and Close all boxes.
* Restart computer
* And now, you're done! :)

***************************************

Now for the basic an x86 or 32 bit versions of a Windows OS, (I may be wrong) you can only achieve a maximum ram of 128gb(Yea, ONLY! :-D) Any other version of a Windows OS, your maximum ram is 512 gb.

Honestly, I dont know or can't think of too many people who could possibly use or even afford that much ram. But, I've read a lot about this as well as a lot of hands on experience in my own computer repair business.

I really think his will help a lot of you out there.

If it helps or you're having issues, let me know and I'll try to help.

I hope it helps,

Sorry but NO, that won't work. A 32bit OS can only use a max of 4GB - this is a limit of the OS itself. It's one thing to say say something outlandish such as this, but you will be corrected and by many. Would suggest trying things like this that you read about before claiming it as fact. This...
32bit Windows can only access 4GB of RAM practically speaking ~3.5GB of RAM, most common 3,25GB.
64bit processor can theoretically access 16.8 million terabytes.
To put things in perspective:
The current largest stick of RAM I can find on one particular online retailer is 32GB. It would take 32 of these to reach 1 terabyte. At about a half inch per stick this brings us to a devoted 16 inches of space on your motherboard for a terabyte of commercial ram. To reach 16.8 million terabytes would require a motherboard 4,242.42 miles. The distance from LA to NYC is about 2141 miles, so the motherboard would stretch across the country and back to accommodate that much RAM.
All other limitations are from OS and MB and it's BIOS.

I hope it helps, Count.

This is in response to "CountMikes" reply to my post.

Firstly, max ram on a x32 bit OS is 128gb. Not 4gb.
Although, it's not practical. Currently the max ram that I could find on a single stick is also a 32gb. But, to achieve the 128gb, simply put 4x of these into a desktop with 4 ram slots and you have your 128gb.

The rest of what you stated in your reply seems to be irrelevant.
But thanks for the reply.

This is reminiscent of SCAM sites claiming you can buy and download more DRAM :)
