Is my PC and broadband viable for streaming on twitch?

I've been having issues with trying to stream to Twitch with obs , my streams are extremely low quality but when I up the bandwidth and quality it excessively lags and freezes, I'm struggling to find a good middle ground. Any help is appreciated ! :D

GPU - GTX 970
CPU- i5-6600k
Upload speed - 0.80mbps

Is there any way to improve the upload speed? If there's any tips to improving it or good broadband deals I would appreciate the help.
