Hello,

I recently installed a new motherboard into a new build. I kept all the previous components I had. After the build upon startup everything seemed to work fine except for the fact that I will get no display. After a minute I will hit the reset button once or twice, the computer will restart, then I will finally see the bios screen flash and Windows will the boot perfectly fine.

In addition when I put my computer in sleep mode the computer will go to sleep, but when I press the power button to wake it up, again all the lights will come on and fans will spin but no display. When I hit the restart button once or twice the computer will restart then it will then show a display.

Lastly, the other day I pressed the main power button to turn of the computer while I was seeing nothing on the display after a startup and the computer wouldn't shut off. I tried a couple more times before pressing the main power switch on the PSU.

What could be the reason for these issues and what should I do to try to fix this?

Please let me know if additional details are needed. Thanks!

Intel I7 4790K
Asrock Z97e-ITX (Refurbished from newegg)
Sandisk 240G SSD
Seagate Barracuda 3TB hard drive
MSI GTX 980Ti gpu
Silverstone 550w Gold PSU
Corsair H100i Cooler
Avirex 2x4GB DDR3 RAM

I did a clean install of Windows. After disconnecting both drives, getting to the BIOS would be a hit or miss. Sometimes it would work sometimes it wouldn't. I would like to note that the motherboard is refurbished so I have a feeling that's the problem.
