Hey!

I plan to build a new PC. I do not game at all. My mainly used softwares are: Photoshop,Maya,Nuke,Archicad

My question would be. Which kind of cpu do you recommend? I listed these, since i found some nice reviews for various task. I do not know which one is the best for my programs.

Thanks for your answer!

Basically its not all about the cpu but the memory also. Thus I would throw out the 6700k right off the bat. You will want a system based on the 2011-3 for the quad channel memory and the fact it has a much higher maximum of RAM. Video card is also very important as many modeling programs work great with gpgpu which also does better with larger RAM. I would suggest the i7-5820K because it clocks well, with at least 32GB RAM, and either a 1080 or higher. Maybe something like this.
