Hi there

i have an fx6300 that sucks. Currently oced to 4.8ghz
im getting 8-22 fps and i would like to upgrade to either of the following

i5 3350P | mobo on ebay z77
i5 4440 | mobo at local shop z97
i7 2600k | mobo on ebay z77

what would be the best option

i live in norway so any import TAX would kill my buget (currently at 300$)

Thanks.

I5-3350P and I7-2600K will be comparable assuming you overclock.
The hyperthreads if the I7 give it the edge.
FSX is supposed to be multithreaded, and it is.
But, my testing shows that it is largely limited by individual core speed. What is multithreaded is the loading of textures.
A quad is about the highest practical level of multithreading.

Your FX-6300 has a single thread passmark rating of 1408. add your OC to that.
The I5-3350P is 1963 and the I7-2600K is 1943. Add a OC to either.

Perhaps there is a better and cheaper option.
Look at the G3258. Passmark single thread rating is 2175. It is overclockable with even a cheap motherboard.

There are some youtube videos of FSX using a G3258, check that out.

As to Prepar3D, I do...

As to Prepar3D, I do not know.
If it actually needs more than 2 cores, the G3258 option is out.
