So I'm getting an EVGA SuperNova G2 750W PSU. I have a Dell Inspiron 546 pc and the motherboard is a Dell 0f896n. I dont think the PSU will fitm but anyway, I was wondering if the PSU will hook up to my motherboard and computer. i have a NZXT Source 530 case but when i tried to move the Inspiron 546 into the NZXT case the fan connectors, front panel usb and power button had completely different connectors. I also plan on getting a RX series card, right now im looking at the RX 460, but if i can use the EVGA SueprNova G2 then I will get the RX 480 since i can use the 6 or 8 pin power connector

Looks like that motherboard has a proper 24 pin connector so yes it should work with that new PSU.

That said I would not waste the money.

First off that board won't properly mount in any case, the holes are different. Also as you said the buttons and stuff don't work.

Secondly 750w is super excessive, 550w is more than enough.

But third, from what I see that board is AM2? Thats a really old AMD processor technology, even the RX 460 is overpowered for it, the RX 480 is WAY overpowered for any processor there. There is a good chance neither card would work, and even if they do the processor would bottleneck the heck out of any game you would throw at it.

Its time for a system upgrade, get a new processor and motherboard. You can...

I plan in getting 5820k, im just buying parts over time, since i dont have $1000 lying around. I have the case, i have the Hyper Evo 212 in the Dell, just bought G.Skill Ripjaw V 8gb 2400mhz. next is the PSU since its really cheap on Amazon. I upgraded the CPU to a Phenom II X4 955, which helped out my game performance a lot. I have a GeForce GT 730 which is really bad. this is the build that i plan on finishing in a few months, https://pcpartpicker.com/user/BlessedNoob/saved/ even if i cant use the PSU i'll still probably get it since it's part of my build to come. And if i can use that PSU i'll prbably get a RX 480 then since the PSU has a 6 or 8 pin power connectos. dont really care if it bottlenecks since i plan on getting a new PC anyway. the card would function right? they would just bottleneck

So i can get the SuperNova G2 and it will hook up and get the RX 480 and hope that the BIOS lets me use it. If not i have another piece to my new build. I also have the newest BIOS available to me. Which RX 480 should i get? Im thinking the Powercolor Red Devil or the XFX, both 8gb versions

Yeah like I said that motherboard has a 24 pin connector so you should be OK there. That PC being so old even with the newest BIOS might not work with it.

I like XFX but the Powercolor I think has the largest factory overclock.

Will the card be too big for my case, i have a mini tower. I know the PowerColor is bigger than the other RX 480 models because of the 3 fans and it blocks some SATA ports.

One last thing sorry, will the PowerColor Red Devil RX 480 fit into my microATX Dell 0F896N motherboard and my mini tower case? The red devil is 12.5in compared to the other ones such as the Sapphire Nitro+ or the XFX which are 9in

The powercolor will probably fit the Dell but I'm not sure to be honest. There is nowhere to get measurements on it.

The dell case is definetaly more than 12 inches, it like 24 inches, Will the Sapphire Nitro+ or XFX RX 480 fit? i also cant put the dell components into the NZXT Source 530 because the fan and other connectors are different

24 inches is a huge case, there is no way the dell is that long, thats like the size of a full size case like a coolermaster HAF.

The measurements you gave me say the case is about 12 inches long, based on pictures I can find online of the case that doesn't seem unreasonable.

The other two will definitely fit in that case. The Powercolor is way too long.

No I found the size of that, I do not know the size of the inside of your case. The card is about 12 inches long and your dell case is about the same, maybe a little bigger but without the INTERIOR measurements of that I can't tell you if it will fit. It probably won't as most normal cases can't fit extra long cards.
