I have been through the forums related to this topic and want to thank you for the inputs you provide...
My search didn't leave me satisfied hence I am posting

My system:
Mobo- gigabyte ga 78lmt s2
Cpu- amd fx4300
Smps- 500 watt
Ram- 4gb ddr3
Monitor - full HD 20-21 inch(about to buy)

Current card - sapphire radeon HD 4670

My service guy said the best card that I can get is 2gb Asus 710-2-sl for ddr3 mobo... Will it have any performance inc over my existing card and if there is any better card out there that can go with my config...my budget is 150$...
Please suggest...
Thank you

Never to to that service guy again, your current 4670 is much faster than the GT 710 he said you should get.

Don't know why you want a DDR3 video card, they are quite a bit slower than the GDDR5 versions. Just because your motherboard uses DDR3 does not mean your video card needs to.

For $150 budget, to match your CPU, the Radeon RX 460 is good, it's about $100 in the US, faster than the 4670 and should be be bottlenecked too much by your slow CPU in gaming. You don't need to get that exact model that was linked above, get what 460 is available.

The above is not available in India...
I did some further searches for DDR3 gpu and found the below 3:
Evga gt730. 2gb
Evga gt740 4gb
And r7 240 2gb

Are the above any good...could you recommend one or any other....

I felt that too myself... Searching for my current motherboard here in the forums shows that it can completely support ddr5 GPU...
Was looking for ddr3 coz again he said only that would be supported...omg...

I am very happy with radeon performance...and would go with your suggestion...just one point..I think it would be a one time investment for a couple of years so if you could recommend a better card than the above till around like 150$... If anything above will cause it to bottleneck then I will stick with 460....
